The following list of items should help you have a more successful RPG World experience.
RPG World is a non-smoking event. If you have to smoke, you can go down the escalator to the Casino level where smoking is permitted.
During any session/training class at RPG World Attendees are asked to have fun and please comply with the following recommendations:
What dress code? We're talking Bob Cozzi, the guy who invented wearing jeans and gym shoes to conferences back in 1980.
But seriously, most attendees wear whatever they want; from business casual to very casual attire. The only exception is on Tuesday, which is RPG World Shirt Day--all attendees are asked to wear their RPG World shirt so we can shoot a class photo during the lunch period.

Classes are held on the second level of the Orleans Hotel above the Casino area. You cannot get there using the Guest Room's Elevators however. To get to the conference area, after exiting the guest elevators on the first floor/casino level, walk towards the casino and continue passed the hotel's "Box office" (on your left). You will see a set of escalators/stairs heading up to the second floor above the casino level. Take those stairs to the second floor. Upon arriving on the second floor, turn 180 degrees (to the right) and walk to the end of the hallway. You will see RPG World Conference signs and our staff desk. At this point, you've successfully arrived at RPG World. If you still get lost, just ask any hotel staff where the meeting rooms are located.

The Orleans Hotel is the site of RPG World it is located at 4500 W. Tropicana Ave, Las Vegas. If you reserved a hotel room with your registration to RPG World, we have already paid for your Room and Tax for your stay. Additional room charges including, but not limited to, Internet access, room service, mini-bar, hotel room-charges, Bellman tips and so on are solely your responsibility.
The hotel's check-in time is 3:00 PM. The hotel is very full this week due to the high RPG World attendance and the upcoming Memorial Day weekend.
The hotel runs a complementary shuttle to the Las Vegas Strip approximately every 20 minutes. Check the schedule at the hotel upon arrival for more details and most importantly the time the final shuttle returns to The Orleans each evening.
Typically you do not. Most attendees use the complementary shuttle provided by the hotel that runs about every 20 minutes to/from the Las Vegas strip. The trip is 5 to 10 minutes in length and runs all day until approximately midnight. Check with The Orleans Hotel for the current shuttle schedule.
Parking at The Orleans and all Casinos is free.
From our experience in previous years, a taxi seems to always cost between $10 and $20 per ride.
Between The Orleans Hotel and the airport a cab will be about $12 to $20 depending on the route taken by the driver. A shuttle bus is also an option and costs approximately $7 each way.
Between The Orleans Hotel and the Las Vegas strip, taxis typically run $10 to $20 (its our experience that you should plan on $20 for cab ride, but $10 to $20 is the typical range).
Yes you will. RPG World includes lunch in the registration fee for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. In addition, on Monday evening we hold our "Welcome Reception" which includes food, soft drinks, tea, coffee and a cash bar. Virtually all attendees consider this event their dinner for Monday.

On-Site check-in is required to obtain your conference ID/badge and other materials. You must check-in one time prior to attending the entire conference. You do not need to register or check-in for each individual sessions you plan on attending.

You may attend any session you want you. The only restriction is "ProDev" sessions which require an RPG World Professional Developer registration and badge.
Regular RPG World sessions begin at 9:00 AM each morning. Professional Developer session begin at 8:00 AM.
The Sunday Workshop runs from Noon to 5:00 PM on Sunday and is for Professional Developer attendees only.
Adobe PDF copies of all RPG World presentations are available on the RPGWorld.com website approximately one week prior to the conference and will continue to be available for 30 days following the conclusion of RPG World. You can download these PDF files at your leisure from the agenda page.
Due to the seemingly never-ending increases in printed material costs, we are printing only a limited number of physical copies of each session's presentation materials (PowerPoint slides) for the attendees in each session. Normally each session has 20 to 80 attendees; printed handouts are provided for those who absolutely need a printed copy in front of them during the session. No additional printed handouts area available. Most presentation don't require a hard copy in front of the student, however laptops with the PDF reader or a physical copy are the current choices.

Beginning at Noon on Sunday, we will have wireless internet access available in the RPG World conference area. This access will remain available until 5:00 PM Wednesday. The Hotel sells its own, in-room wired internet service separately.
The SSID will be set to RPGWORLD (all upper case) and will NOT be broadcast. This will allow us to avoid having attendees from other conferences 'steal' our bandwidth.
